INTERVIEW WITH: Purr Cat Cafe Club (Bangkok)

CAFFEINSG is so privilege to be able to have an interview with one of the founder of Purr Cat Cafe Club. If you are unsure of the cafe or haven't heard of it, you can read our review of this amazing cat cafe located in Bangkok here.

Without any further ado, let us start with the interview.

May I have your name and how are you related to Purr Cat Cafe Club?

My name is Sathana Songprasert. I'm one of the founders and CEO at Purr Car Cafe Club.

How did you get started with Purr Cat Cafe Club? What sparks the idea of opening a cat cafe?

The cat cafe began with my sister and her friend’s passion in cats. At that time, there were no such business in Bangkok at all. I thus foresee an excellent combination in a pet business fused with leisure activities of people in Thailand as the concept of the combination is a completely fresh startup for both business owners and Thai customers.

How many cats are there currently?

Around 30 cats.

Are there a lot of customers from overseas who visited the cafe?

Yes, we have a lot of customers from overseas. They come from many countries especially Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Russia, Hong Kong, Korea, etc.

Other than desserts, any plans to include more food items in the menu?

Maybe not. As we have a lot of cats in the cafe, their fur might drop off easily if customers leave their food on the table for a long time.

Any future plans or expansion of the cafe?

Yes! But not for the cafe, we have plans to build a cat hotel on the second floor of the building soon.
